    check sum error on a 6.0l

    i have sent in this file about 3 weeks ago to the support email on a 6.0l and still have not heard anything back. I cant do anything with this truck due to check some error. I need to reflash this ecu to get this truck gone. here is the file i sent in. angelasmessedupf250.hpt

    What year is the truck?

    When did the check sum error ocurr?

    have a screen shot of the error by chance?

    06 F250 I do not have a screen shot, It threw it while trying to read the ecu

    I've had that error pop up before if you don't follow the key process exact before when it's going from reading the ECM to the TCM. Did this happen during the initial process?

    has the vehicle been previously tuned?

    it happened during the initial process, the truck does have a reflash on it that is why we are trying to put it back to stock.

    What programmer was it tuned with?

    That is not something i could possibly know. i would assume a bully dog or something

    Thats likely the issue, have the ecm flashed to stock then reread with our software.
    It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

    Well new ecu it is then cause i dont know whats on it nor have what ever the original flasher is

    You should be able to take it to either ford or to some one who has ford IDS system and they can generally flash the ecu back to stock with the updated files.

    it is cheaper for me to buy another computer than to tow it to ford and then pay them to reflash it
