Change when low fuel light comes on

Is there a way that we can do this? My wife expects me to keep her gas full that she drives all the time. She will however put in gas when the light comes on so my idea is to make the light come on, say, at half a tank so I'll not worry about the fuel pump as much.

The light is only triggered by the float in the tank, once it's at a certain height it will go off. Unless you can bend the arm in the tank to change when it does.

When most lights turn on, there is atleast 3-4 gallons left in the tank on most vehicles. Thats plenty enough to keep the pump cool. You should tell your wife to fill it up herself more often if she knows she's drive alot, can't depend on you all the time.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
