Actually this is mostly on whipple vehicles SO that would make a lot of sense... Detuning the dd does make them SOooo much more drivable in the mountains, so combined with the cam settings??? I'll have to see...

Still hope GM comes out with a hybrid combo setup for injection - would fix A LOT of problems their having right now with the DI engines and make them really tunable Anyone having luck with installing the separate ecm system for just this?

    Thanks Higgs

FSP has installed a haltech w/port injection on top of the GM ECM running direct injection. Seems to be working from what has been ported anyways..

Pretty sure they're going to disable the direct injection entirely next, if they haven't already...

I don't know why they would disable the DI, just leave the injectors in place and dead? I actually much prefer DI to port except for the power limitations (and I guess the potential long term dirty valves).

Not sure--I think it was just to make things easier to tune. It was some stupid high HP build, like 1500rwhp+

fwiw....on cruise and as sharp an incline as can be found in fla, I was experiencing surging, bucking, etc. As Higgs stated, I zero'd all cam timing down low and it ran smooth as silk...not tuned yet, but much better, no surging, but probably leaving some on the table

Thanks... Did it fix the coast then get back into throttle "whiplash" effect too?

So what kind of gains or driveability improvements do you guys see on stock / stockish stuff? I'm supposed to tune a lifted 2015 truck and the guy is refusing to be patient....he got burned by another local guy that "tunes."...I don't really want to do it yet but I guess I need to start somewhere.

if it doesn't you can try making all the negative DD values "0"

I was wondering about that too Higgs - still waiting to try that one out as well If all of this pans out, I should be in pretty good shape on the gen 5's... Well until the next problem comes along that I need to figure out anyway Thanks Again Higgs...

haven't noticed any whiplash yet, but not getting into the throttle too hard as of yet..stay tuned tho

I scaled back the entire vette tune and am in the process of going the other way in boost, while the non-boosted area is a bit rich. moving slowly...

It does have a quicky lean out before PE kicks in. he vette doesn't go into pe until 70% pedal, where as this needs it a lot earlier..

    having 3.08 gears doesn't help...cruise is like 1200 rpm's or less.....lol
