    Rev Hang Upshift RPM Pause

Has anyone seen a manual trans 2015+ Mustang pause the RPMs briefly while they are falling between shifts? The pause is within 100 RPM of the next gear's entry point. It's not really what I would call a Rev Match, it's more like a Follower/Cracker/Dashpot function.... it acts as a shift smoothing function, I havent logged it though. The GM stuff uses spark to smooth shifts, it looks like Ford is using air.

Anyone seen this or what table could be edited to remove it?

My 2015 GT was doing this with my SCT tunes, Lund and a couple other tuners couldn't figure it out, I switch to HP because of this issue. Had Unleashed write my tune for me and the hanging rev problem is gone.

My guess for this is the CLIP/ADD mode switch under airflow> electronic throttle. There are 4 settings 2 disable and 2 enable. My guess would be both disabled, CLIP disabled and ADD enabled, CLIP enabled ADD disabled, both enabled. Just a guess and probably wont be that easy tho lol.

I had that in default position and no rpm hanging. Idle airflow tables needs to be adjusted.
It's completly different than previous models, as there is nothing to log about idle, that makes big problems to dial idle.

caniggia this is not a hanging dashpot, this is a built in rev holder to smooth an slow manual upshift. it pauses exactly where the RPMs would be for the next gear.

Where from he would know if you want to upshift or downshift to put rpm to?

based on gearing. if you shift too slow to catch the next point it holds it there.

You can try to disable clutch idle logic in tranny settings

The 2015s have no idle air tables. Idle control is totally torque based. The same with dashpot.

yes that's why I don't know where to correct it. I don't have a file in front of me so I can't try the clutch idle logic at the moment.

it's pretty clear though that it is not a tuning error, that's not my video. this is a "feature." but some guys want it gone.

you can try to adjust your torque tables in that area or check for air leak
