Using HP tuners who has been able to turn off the vats on a 1997 Grand Prix N/A ecu. We can turn off the vats from 1998 on but not the 1996 1997. The engine will run for about 1 sec.

The older V6's are unique. There's a thread about disabling vats on the older GM V6's in the GM V6 section.
