Some great info on that link! I don't plan to necessarily doing the tuning myself but still a very good read for anyone wanting to learn more.

Any chance you're gonna possibly support the EcoDiesel?

Im having an issue with not hitting commanded fuel rate and it dropping off as RPM climbs. Everything else is working great for me, trans etc... I cant find any other limiters to turn off that i think would affect this that i can find anyways, but i could simply be over looking something. Anyone willing to check out the file see if im missing something? I can email it to you. HPT support directed me to the forums for this question , so here it is!

You may want to start a new thread so this one doesn't get too clogged up with troubleshooting your situation, but are you sure it isn't a mechanical/lift pump fuel delivery issue?

Yeah. Logged my smarty tune and it will hold 155 and change to shift point. I have a FASS 150 lift pump on the truck.

For those interested here's the info I found in my research that I saved and have been referencing a lot thus far.

I'm personally not writing tunes for my vehicle but I like to learn the theories & better understand the software.

Hopefully this stuff will help a few out!

To any one wanting to post files in the repository below is the response I got from HP Tuners support when emailing them about the lack of diesel options in the drop down. For the time being this will tell you how to get the files uploaded correctly and then the proper details associated with the file after the fact. See below...

    To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to add some Stock files to the tune repository but I don't see my engine specifically listed. Can you please add additional options to the "engine type" drop down? Specifically for the diesel engines.

For example I don't see options for the following:
    5.9 I6 Dsl
    6.0 V8 Dsl
    6.4 V8 Dsl
    7.3 V8 Dsl

    Thanks in advance!!!!

    RESPONSE FROM HP SUPPORT:

Please add them as 6.6ltr dsl temporarily and in the notes just note the correct size, from there we will add the engine sizes to the drop down & fix each of the files as they come in.

Cummins PCMs require full flashing every time. 10 minutes is typical for later PCMs with external memory.
