Been out of the loop for a while...

Hey folks, I previously had a 2002 Z06 with an APS TT kit, tuned by me using speed density, ran great.

I've been out of the tuning loop for some years and a buddy has a 2009 CTS-V which he wants to dig into a bit.
Just curious how much things have changed in the factory maps and tuning procedures since I last tuned my 2002.
I have the MPVI Pro cable and will need to grab some credits for his car.

Not looking for any real definitive info, just maybe some tips and things to look out for.
Could there be any changes and software upgrades I may need?

Thanks in advance for any information.

You will have to update your software from your customer page for sure, tons of changes have been made since you been gone.

Once you download his file you'll notice how different a gen3 computer is to a gen4 computers, similar is parts but alot different in others. Most basic things still apply to both.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    Thanks, 5FDP.

I kind of figured I'd have to upgrade the software.
    I'll look into that first.

I understand that some of the maps and tables may appear different, as you said, similar in ways but quite different in other ways.
Guess I'll just have to pull his map and start poking around.
