2008 ECM with 2009+ Gold Blade Throttle Body

Hey guys,

I know the two throttle bodies open in opposite directions and running and 09+ TB on an 08 ECM causes havoc with the TAC, is this something that is adjustable in the tune or is it completely incompatible due to hardware.

I've personally tried various things and could never get it to work. Some people say they have but no idea.

IIRC the silver will work on all but the brass/gold will only work on 2009 UP.

2008-2009 G8 had silver 09.5 had brass.
2008 C6 Ls3 had silver also.

You have to use a 2009 LS7 Z06 operating system with the 2008 E38 pcm to make the gold blade work. Its the only OS i know that will do it. Any other newer os will brick the pcm.

Also Ive tuned a few 07-08 trucks with LS3 Throttle bodies on them without issue so Im thinking truck OS should work if you need an auto trans OS on a E38. The Truck 87mm and the LS3 Tb's are similar electronic wise and are both gold blade ironically regardless of year.
