    MAP Sensor Parameters

Just finished the TMAP and Boost Sensor parameters added to all the BF Falcons.

Where do we find these tables is this in 2.25beta? This is so we can swap the sensors out for 3bar sensors correct?

Yeah 2.25 only. Just rescale the slope and offset for any compatible t-MAP. The 2.5 to 4 bar are plug and play (FG's need a loom adaptor).

They are on the to-do list. If you have a specific OSID you want it added to, then email support.

Thanks Eric.. I think we should make a note of the slope and offsets for the different sensors

    3.5bar = I believe the slope is 22.15125 inHG/volt
    offset is 3.691875 inHG/volt

Does anyone have the values for 3bar?

Here is a start for the data from what I worked out and found

These are the values I was able to obtain from the Bosch data sheets, BM Mototsport and what I saw on the Danny video. We used the values closest to Danny's on bugsy's car but he may have tweaked them slightly. The Ford standard values are what I calculated from the Bosch data sheet and are close to what is in the calibration. 4.75V is where I believe the sensor max voltage is in the calibration, might be able to change some of this now.

    Code:
    T-Map Characteristics
    Name P1	V1	P2	V2	Slope InHg Offset InHg	4.75V Kpa
    Ford Standard	20	0.4	250	4.65	5.98094118	-0.486376471	255.4117647
    3Bar - BM motor	11	0.25	307	4.75	19.42417778	-1.607744444	307
    3Bar - Bosch	20	0.4	300	4.65	19.45505882	-1.876023529	306.5882353
    4Bar BM motor	50	0.4	400	4.65	24.31882353	5.037470588	408.2352941
    3.5Bar 50	0.5	350	4.5	22.1475 3.69125 368.75
    4Bar - Danny 50	0.5	100	1.089	25.06791171	2.231044143	410.7809847
    4Bar - Bosch	50	0.5	400	4.65	24.90481928	2.312590361	408.4337349

Have you tested these ^^ slopes and offsets?

Toads, not all of them. We have used the 4 bar Danny values on bugsy's car as stated and worked. We also found the 4 bar boost sensor used the same values or were close enough to run closed loop boost control on a BF.

I gave an SCT tuner the 3.5 values and they reported back it was working. So that is second hand. Someone on the forum will be testing this afternoon, he was having issues with it but I am not sure if the calibration is being updated correctly or something else.

I have not tried tried the 3 bar at all. Waiting for Herrods to get back to me as I was thinking of picking one up from them next week when I go to my mechanics. I have a spare factory T-MAP sensor so I can bench check it before I put it in.

I would suggest deassociating Danny from those calculated values. Those values are not what he uses.

Toads, probably my bad as I got them off the video he posted so they may have changed.

Cars back together and ran fine on the stock tmap.. I installed the 3 bar and used the Bosch values Darryl posted above, the car ran rough and extremely rich on first startup, I have Kpm1500's with the supplied voltage offsets, break points and min PW, but 100lb/h low slope and 120lb/hr high slope.. The car achieved commanded lambda (within reason) and sat within 3% fuel trims with the std tmap, and std SD tables

Now I have the car running fairly well but the slopes have changed to 160 low and 125 high.. It drives but is no where near perfect and fuel trims are all over the shop. Is this where the SD tables need to start to be altered or does something else need to be changed? I was under the impression the sensor and scales would go straight in and fire up?

Joe, can you get the part number of the t-map sensor I will check what it is. There should be no need for the change in injector values and I suspect either the slope and offset is wrong or it is not the 3 bar sensor, perhaps the 3.5 bar sensor. As a quick check how much did you pay for the 3 bar sensor as it is under $30 US but the 3.5 bar sensor is about US $190. Also, ignition on and without the engine running what does the sensor say the MAP is as it should be the same as the factory sensor (barometric pressure will be around 100kpa and will show up in the scanner).

I have used Bosch 0281 002 680 3 bar TMAP using your chart above DarrylC

    3Bar - Bosch 20 0.4 300 4.65 19.45505882 -1.876023529 306.5882353

And I get 115kpa at atmosphere where as with the stock 2 bar I get 101kpa.

The Bosch spec supplied with this sensor is 0.2-300kpa 250-4750mv which differs slightly to the above Bosch cal.

Anyone have the TMAP slope and OFFSET for this sensor or care to have a shot at calculating it?

    Cheers

Leave the offset but adjust the slope.
set up the scanner to read the map and also the barometric pressure.
Remembering that bosch sensors have a slight variance from sensor to sensor.
