    Scanner variation with RPM

Why the variation in RPM? Which is correct?

Recorded this morning with latest 2.25 beta.

Check your polling interval. It looks like Engine rpm (SAE) is very slow to update in comparison. I checked some of my logs with Engine rpm (SAE) and it updates far faster than yours. Make sure yours is set to the fastest interval.

Don't use polled parameters (<- ->) if broadcast parameters (<-) are available. Broadcast parameters are basically free.

I just went back to my Channels list to see how many polled parameters I could change out for broadcast parameters. There were a few so I changed them. I went to my charts vs Time, gauges but didn't see any broadcast parameters listed. I'm just a bit confused as how to display or chart a broadcast parameter.

Well misery loves company. I hope we didn't stump the panel. I guess all the green 12's are broadcast parameters but none show up in any of the charts or gauges. I'm wondering if you select a broadcast parameter in "Channels" that associated parameters will work in the charts and gauges. Too cold for me to fool with it tonight. If you are in the tinkering mode let me know if you happen try it.

Open your charts, gauges or histo and look for any green 12's. There aren't any. I think this is still evolving. The only place you can use the green 12's are in Channels.
