    Question Dakota 5.9 R/T Jtec+

Can anyone tell me when more attention is going to be given to the Jtec+ computers?

I really believe they intended on tuning the JTEC PCM's but they discovered it would be too challenging or not worth there time, I kinda wish they never would of brought it up, because now I'm disappointed!

They've stated they are trying to finalize the write routines so they are as stable as possible. Saying that the JTECs are tricky and will brick if they fail a flash. The read support and much of the mapping seems to be done.

Oh. Well its great that they are making sure it will work right but I wish there was more of a timeframe. I hope they do support them at some point because I have been able to read mine and scan it for about a year now. Just no write.

That's odd I have never been able to read my 2002 4.7 Dakota, I hope I can tune mine in the near future, theres is Justune in KC that picked up 30hp and 50ftlbs at the rear wheels using HP Tuner's on my 1997 Hemi swapped Dakota that uses a 2005 Ram PCM and trans with a 2006 Charger 5.7 Hemi, its a beast now, I think he could really wake up my 4.7!

yea i bet plus more adjustability. i saw in my file that whenever they enable write, i can have the stock fans come on when the trans temp goes over whatever temp i want, i can do all the air/fuel tuning i want, theres lots of adjustability. if they can get tuning out there for a freakin chrysler town and country minivan who nobody is gonna waste there time tuning that lol they gotta come up with something for us Jtec guys.

Haha I knew this would happen.... I do still look forward to HPT version of tunability on JTEC and if it's anything like the rest of their stuff, even though I am deep into the competitor's version, I will likely be using HPT.
If nothing else....R/T Dakota & Durango PCMs would be a good idea for you guys to support.... and I know you can flash them because many are very similar to that V10 PCM............

You would be surprised at the number of Jeep customers looking for tuning to gain back some semblance of acceleration after they put 35"+ tires on their 4.0l Wranglers! Ram truck guys are a competitive bunch as well. A lot of 5.2 and 5.9 owners got the "death flash" from the dealers to stop the pinging (due to oil leaking past the intake plenum gasket) and really miss the power they once had.

I am patiently waiting for Jtec+ support so i can do transmission tuning. My truck is tuned with SCT and it works great but I dont wanna bother my tuner to spend a lot of time on my transmission for a basic bolt on truck. keep us posted!
