    This is where 3.0 differs than 2.24 though. You CAN save individual layouts from displays (gauge/chart/graph) for future reference, or you can save the entire layout as a whole (using the tool bar buttons at the top).

    Those open/save icons in the Layout Editors are only for saving off-line copies of the layouts for sharing/archival purposes.

    I mean, I accidentally closed my gauge window without saving my changes (while still having the scanner open, i only closed the gauges). Then, the only thing I could figure out how to open was a page of default gauges.

    Ok, in that case, there is no way to restore it, unless you've saved your layout.

    Saving layouts is easy in 3.0, and is separate from Channels.

    Save your Layouts (using the icons on the toolbar at the top) for your various tasks (idle, wot, race, etc..)

    Save your Channels for your various vehicles.

    I am having the exact same problem. When I open old logs (2.24 logs), all of the cells fills correctly. When I open a new log, it only fills out a a column or row as pictured.

    Either I have a setting wrong. Or it doesn't read the log correctly. Could be a major bug or user error.

    I guess it's a channel issue. Does the car have to be plugged in to add new channels?

    I can't seem to lock a 98 Camaro in 3rd for a dyno run. I had no issue with this car using the old software. How do I fix this?

    Haha, thats why I was saying an are you sure pop up would've been good. No worries though, save early, save often lol

    Well I guess I found it. I have a Cobalt SS Turbo. By putting the key in the run position i was able to see available channels. Then i had to add in new channels. For me this included herz for the MAF. Once I added that channel to my scanner, it starter showing up in logs. And fixed the graph issue where it was only showing one column or row.

    finally got a chance to play. gotta say, I like the scanner. I found it alien during the beta, but after getting some time on it tonight, it's way easier to set up.

    here's what I don't like. twice tonight, scanner hangs while logging. 1st time happened before I saved anything.
    2nd time while driving. lost the log both times.

    the application window grays out, not responding and has to be forced to quit.
    reopen, try to connect, says it can't find the interface.
    unplug and reconnect the USB cable, no change.
    unplug and reconnect the OBDII cable, and it connects.

    scanner 3.09, E38 (2010 Camaro LS3).
    fresh install of windows 10.

    not sure what other info I can give you to help you make it stop?

    eta: I was able to log just fine a number of times tonight as well. this is intermittent and unpredictable.

    If you forgot to save your logs, Scanner saves every long when you stop scanning to My Documents\HP Tuners\VCM Scanner\Logs.

    I've had the same intermittent issue since late in the development of 2.25 and I can't for the life of me find a pattern. I've tried different vehicles, different installations, renamed my old HP Tuners folder, deleted all my math parameters, with and without wideband, totally stock install settings, etc.

    Sometimes I get 20 minutes of logging and other times I get two. Today for the first time I had the wideband stop responding mid log. Closing the scanner fixed it for the moment. Of course I'm driving and didn't notice I was wasting my time logging.

    When the scanner hangs the CPU goes to 50% on the application.

    Beyond this, I love the new look / functions.

    not sure if it's real or not.

    Logging with the engine off, key in the run position.
    I was picking amongst a few TPS and ACS channels.
    I noticed when I depress the accelerator, the LTFT's increase from 0 to about 5% and back down when I let off.
    Is this real? Or a glitch? Never noticed it before.

    Hey guys,I gave the 2.24 another name so I can keep it and downloaded 3.0 version..i want to use my 2.24 VCM scanner..what do I need to do?it does not verify my vehicle..the 3.0 scanner is working,but my 2.24 scanner isn't...thanks

    Log fuel trim cell and see if it's putting you in a different cell when the change happens (for whatever reason). May just be something the ECM has remembered from earlier driving

    Found some hiccups with the gauges.

    It seems that if you set a range that spans most of an elliptical gauge it'll take the shortest path from the start to the end.

    Also, if you change the max limit on a guage that has a min greater than 0 (didn't check less than 0), the min will be set back to 0 on the guage, but not the editor, until you re-define the min in the editor.
