    Dr. Mike,
Are you still offering reflashing of the AEM 30-0300? I just bought an AEM 30-0300 x-series UEGO for my LS1 Trans Am. I am getting ready to install it, then I came across this thread. If this will make my HPTuners read the AFR more accurately, I'm all for it!

Sorry. That is too old to be a CAN based PCM Usually, you need to be 2008 or later. So, you will need to use the analog interface. Fortunately, the analog on the 30-0300 is excellent. And has built-in compensation for ground offsets, etc. For now, there is no way to use OBDII to transfer data, with pre-CAN systems. Hopefully, with a future HPTuners update, it will work.

You can also use the serial interface option for pre-2008 setups....will have to buy pins from Digikey (see manual for p/n) and wire to a DB9 connector (Digikey, Radio Shack). Use a Serial to USB converter cable (Amazon, Radio Shack) and transform using Serial options.

I have read (not experieinced) that some earlier (but more like 2006, 2007) platforms may work as well but as Mike said certainly not the LS1a/b configurations.

OK read all this thread, but could someone please give me a bit of advice for my application.

I currently have the AEM 30-0300 and have it installed since over a year ago. I just purchased HP Tuners PRO and want to start doing some data recording. Do I *need* to change to the AEM 30-0334 unit or can I just use the brown/white wires to the HP Tuners Pro unit?

Vehicle is a 2007 Trailblazer SS with E67 ECM.. which apparently communicates CAN over the ECM/TCM but not for the BCM.

The 30-0300 is plenty fast. Use what you have!

I'm in the same situation as above "Vehicle is a 2007 Trailblazer SS with E67 ECM.. which apparently communicates CAN over the ECM/TCM but not for the BCM". I only have the standard Hp Tuners and not the Pro. Can I use the AEM30-0334 and connect my HP Tuners through the AEM pass through OB2 port to read the A/f in HP tuners?

Yes as long as it is really a canbus vehicle.

I really need to gauge how many people would actually be interested in a J1850 ( pre CAN ECU ) interface device for the 30-0300.

What would this interface device do? Pardon my ignorance.. steep learning curve (but I'm trying/researching!)

In a nutshell, it would allow the 30-0300 wideband to communicate to the MPVI directly, via the OBDII interface. Just like the 30-03333/0334 does. But, the 30-0333/0334 only work with vehicles with CAN based ECUs.

The new interface would be for the older J1850 based ECUs from GM MOPAR and Ford. So, everything from 1996 on.

Any chance this device would work with the 30-0310 as well?
