New to Cummins tuning

Hey guys,

I'm definitely not new to the HPTuners scene. I have had it for a few years and tuned a few of my own cars / trucks and friends trucks. All gas motors. Where I am lacking knowledge is the diesel side of things. I have a 2005 2500 Cummins ( bigger turbo, exh manifold, 5" exhaust, 6sp ) that I currently have a smarty JR on. Needless to say I was tickled to death when I got the update Email because I had no idea they planned on supporting my trucks.

I am wondering exactly how I should approach tuning it and where to begin. Are there and GOOD guides out there for tuning these engines? I'm sure a lot more information will become available as people get to using it more. I have been doing some reading on it but it is a little confusing still.

I've been out of the tuning game for awhile so I still need to purchase a Laptop or Windows tablet to get started!
