6L80 with nitrous shift problems

I recently got nitrous on my car and tried it at the track but it keeps bumping the limiter just a bit. I was wondering do I just lower the shift mph or is there more to tuning the trans when adding nitrous?

I'm hoping its just a shift point adjustment because I'd love to see what this car can do on the spray.

yes, start with dropping your shift points by 3mph. your motor will be making more power and increasing rpm much quicker then before so you need to "pre-empt" the shifts so you don't tag the limiter.

thanks, thats what i was hoping. i dropped them about 6mph and if that works I'm gonna work my way back up.
