I had Cylinder Airmass in v2.24, but can't get it in v3.0

1998-03 3800 Series 2 PCMs are what I'm working with. I had the Cylinder Airmass "data PID" added in VCM Scanner v.2.24 and it worked properly.

Since I upgraded to v3.0 (using 3.0.6 currently), that data channel is no longer available for this P04 type PCM and VCM Scanner won't let me add it for some reason.

How do I add Cylinder Airmass in to v3.0 VCM Scanner for the 3800 Series 2 PCMs?

I think I figured out how to do it using the math transforms. But this seems to be a calculated number VCM Scanner is coming up with. Did v2.24 do it the same way (ie: calculated cylinder airmass using MAF flow and RPM data)?

Yes 2.24 had to calculate it as well. At least now you can pick how it's calculated.

YOu might want to try updating - 3.0.6 is really old in terms of 3.0...

LOL I just downloaded the "newest" version of HP Tuners yesterday, which was 3.0.6. At least that's what version it said it was when I installed it.

You mean 3.0.60. They're at .62 now, or were as of this afternoon.

Yea, 3.0.60, if that's what they are calling it (that's not what the software version told me). It sure wasn't 3.0.06.

There is a big difference between 3.0.6 and 3.0.60. :-) I'm not sure how the version is reported in 3.0.60, but if it's being reported as 3.0.6, then that is a bug - and a big one that can cause a lot of confusion! :-)

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you were using a recent version and not 3.0.6 (which is really old).

Can anyone else confirm that 3.0.60 is being reported as 3.0.6???

Maybe we'll find out when we hit .70?

Select "Repoll for Supported Parameters" after you update to be sure you have the latest PID selection for your OS.
