Sure. Just put a filter in for AFR Error or EQ Ratio Error, whichever you are using. Or just ignore them yourself.

Are we talking the "math parameters" or in the filtering field in the "graph" section of the scanner?

Normally I do, I just find it a huge PITA to cut and paste around the silliness.

    Well, I take that back.

Apparently you can't use math parameters in filters for some reason? I thought for sure I had done that before, but it's not letting me now. So, I guess not.

Sorry, I really thought that was something that would be easy to do

No problem. Glad to know I wasn't crazy.

I can probably just find a workaround - using Excel maybe?

Yeah should be easy enough to do in Excel

Something like =IF(E7<4,0,E7) would do it

my car doesn't have a ve boost table, am I correct in assuming the ve error boost afr is not an option.

Unlikely, but without more info then we have no idea whether you're tuning a Mercedes or a newer GM vehicle.

Post the tune for whatever you are tuning and I or someone will check it out

If it's a newer GM vehicle then it has a virtual VE table that can be setup for boost. There's another how to for that--check out the links in my signature.

if it's something totally different then without seeing it I can't really say.

    Hi Guys,

Anyone used this for 2009 jeep srt8?

Couldnt find the MAP label in the tune. the tune has VE for bank 1 and 2, the axis looks like its some kind of factor and RPM?? any suggestions?

    Thanks

This is for GM vehicles. I have no idea how Jeep does it.. I'm curious though. Do you have a copy of the tune you can post?

    here it is..

Also, in VCM scanner, I couldnt find o2 sensors for the jeep. I think I should use an external wide band.

    Thanks

Ah ok, yeah looks like their VE tables are based on RPM and pressure ratio. Not a big deal, just use those units for your row/column axis and copy the breakpoints in the tune.

If you want to post current layout and a log I'll show you what to do

You'll need to be logging barometric pressure and MAP in order for it to work.

    My bad!

One question here please, what unit shoud i use for the pressure ratio?

I have set the EQ error to read from Daytona sensor and commanded.

    Thanks

I set it up properly for the ST Fuel Trim, LT Fuel trim and LTFT+STFT ones in the attached layout. Open the layout first, then a log

I didn't go through and look at the rest, just fixed those few so you can see how they should be setup

EQ error isn't going to work until your log includes a reading from a wideband (in units of lambda or EQ ratio as HPT seems to call it lately).

That isn't showing in the current log so it has no way of calculating how far off fueling is, so EQ ratio error isn't going to work

Probably a dumb question but does it matter the tune axis are switched? I've been having issues with a 99 5.3 80mm turbo e85 80lb injectors 2 bar sd my 12350 table looks nothing like this. I've always set up histograms in relation to tables in the tune. How do i make the change to eq ratio on my ve?

Yeah you need to make the Scanner row/column axis match whatever is in your tune.. this was just one example of a common setup

To use EQ ratio error you need to set the wideband up in lambda (I think it's labeled Equivalence ratio when you're setting up the transform for the wideband channel) and also need to be logging commanded EQ ratio. That's pretty much it

Ok guys I set up the scanner works great, now what I need to log e85 fuel error. My file it?s set up for 9.7 stoic afr, on my scanner it?s getting signal form my ngk wodeband and reading stoich 14.7 so it?s be throwing off my fuel error.
