i have an 05 f250 with 6.0 powerstroke with the no vin issue. im using the most up to date software but still had the oaks problem. so i downloaded an 06 tune out of respositiry and licensed it and tried to do a full write. it just gives me x7f negative response code. any fix to this problem?. thanks

you sir wasted two credits the response i got was hptuners can not write a vin into ford vehicles
sure did. this software isnt ford friendly. after reading his tune we tried to flash an updated 05 tune into it and it wouldnt work. so we tried to start truck and it wouldnt crank over. we had to tow the truck to ford dealer and $400 later they said my tuning software currupted the ecm and they had to get stock files and reflash it.
