    Programming Used ECM

So i'm trying to recover from a ECM failure during flashing. I purchased a used ECM and need to get it reprogrammed to my car.

Vehicle is a 2011 Chevy Cruze

Is a VIN re-write all i need to do with the new ECM to get it to run the car again?

    Thank you in advance!

You will want to have the dealership with a tech 2 scanner reprogram the computer to match your vehicle and VIN.

Then you'll have to re-licence that computer I believe.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Local shop has software that runs a tech 2 emulation. Would that work?

No tech 2 emulator wont do programming. Tech 2 wont program that ecm either. You will need a mdi module or something equivalent.
