Yep...there is definitely a drawback somewhere in this game, and I'm fully expecting shortened coil pack life, as well as the plugs and wires. How much shorter? Who knows...plugs on mine get changed every 15-20k anyways, so I'll keep an eye on them.

GM LS1 F-body plug wires are better than most aftermarket wires....
and supposedly they are suposed to be able to handle the 8ms dwell as well according to a buddy of mine that is a mechanic at a gm dealership

How exactly would he know this though? Just curious...I'd really like to see the difference on a dyno too. I can definitely feel it with part throttle driving...there's just more power there. I'm sure there has to be a gain of some sort, but I'd like to know how much it increases with it set at 5ms all the way up to 8ms.

Well, to make it truly effective, I'd have to remove the rear glass as well so it didn't have a parachute effect...

Yes there is...he was using a much lower value. I wonder if that's the one he got the extra power out of? Mine's way more...that's gotta be better, right? Right? Right?

I have been doing exactly what I showed..
I just highlight starting at anything below 8ms..and interpolate all the way to the bottom.....
