Someone has to find the limits of the coil packs somehow...mine loved having 2ms added (I added it above idle all the way out, so while it idles, it still has the stock dwell).

i ran the stock dwell to about 2000 then blended to about 3600 and went all out there up. so around town isnt testing the limits but WOT is.

Well I thought I was going to get something done this weekend but that didnt work. I am going to try to get to the dyno again to get a baseline before I mill the heads and port the intake, so hopefully I will have something in the next few weeks.

I'm at one of 2 different local dyno's all the time...but I never have enough time to experiment on things like the spark dwell...
usually its Just 3 puls casue its $50 for 3 pulls or $100 for an hour for me...and teh customer usually wants to go the cheaper route

I've been reading this thread early this morning, and decided to try a few things. Of course, I didn't get wild with it, but this surprised me. I upped my VE table's values by 10%, and spark dwell by 2 from 10 - 18V up to 6800rpm. I logged some runs yesterday, and noted a 0 - 60 mph time of 8.1s. Today.... 6.6s. Fluke or what?

Log file attached. Got a bit more tuning to do, but it's not bad for my setup (see sig).

only increased the values over 80kpa and it made no difference at WOT, 4 pulls back to back went 394-397hp, 2 with stock dwell and 2 with higher dwell.

on a forced induction or high comp car it will make a difference espically if you are on the edge of blowing out the spark
