Order the cable, you wait for it to get sent to you. The cable comes with a CD, but you will probably be instructed to download a newer version. You install the software, connect the cable, and connect the cable to the car, and off you go tuning.

Okay, now please tell me how this differs from a PCM reflashing?

It doesn't... where did you get the idea that this wasn't a PCM reflash?

I have no ideas about how that works thats why I asked you. I had not heard that a PCM reflash for the LSJ was yet available and if you look at my signature you'll see that I need this essential part before I receive the last part and start my build.
Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it.

Well thats why Chris made this announcement...

This software allows you to go in to the ECU and edit the parameters (fuel injector size, VE, timing, etc), then flash it back (aka reflash). You can tweak it however you need to, so its not a canned reflash like GM would give you, this is a custom reflash device for everybody (since no car is the same).

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

As Chris said on our forums, the important part is using lots of common sense, and making sure you know what you're change is going to do, before you do it and test it. If you want to start playing with fuel and timing, you need to have equipment to make sure you're not pushing things too far in a bad direction. Just like changing hardware on the engine, you need to have wrenches, screwdrivers, new gaskets, or things like that.

To me, you need to have access to a wideband 02 sensor, and a dyno-type device. Not if you're going to change things like fan turn ons, or mild things like that, but to get into the 'meat' of the ECU...
