Any chance of HPT adding support for these f body pcm's??
    Unfortunately not, sorry.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

What is the main difference between the 96-97 lt1 pcm and the 98-02 pcm of the f-body camaros that doesnt allow us to utilize HPT to tune the lt's? I had the same issue 5 years ago when i built my lt1 but i forgot what the issue was exactly. I had to pay for a mail order tune back then.

Main difference is that it is a completely different ecm.

i saw someone on you tube ground out a pin on the board but not sure what the ecm came from but does that work with the e38s too?

    Working on swapped vehicle.
    P01 from 99 Silverado.
Read and wrote fine. Did Speed Density OS. Wrote entire fine. Trying to do adjustments.
    Getting x36 error.
Tried to use GM SDS flash to stock - can't even start a write.
Vehicle starts and runs. I can datalog and do RTT.
    Just can't write.

P.S. I believe this happened to me long time ago before too. The SD was from a Camaro. Is F-Body OS corrupting truck PCM?

FYI grounding pin on the motherboard revived both PCMs.

replace the ecm with one that hasn't been tunerlocked.

X36 means one of 2 things.

    A. ecm is tunerlocked
    B. nvram in the ecm is corrupt due to poor programming ie flashing a 2010 file into a 2008 ecm or vice versa

Both require a new ecm that isn't corrupt/tunerlocked.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
