    3.1 Beta Bugs?

    Didnt find a common thread for general bugs.. so here's one:

    1st read with newer 3.1.356 Beta... seems to have froze at the "Read Finished" screen. I just rebooted my computer AFTER installing this beta... just HPT is froze. Not sure if its my setup or common problem?

    I've had this problem ever since 3.0 -- thought it was just my laptop? BUT my editor or scanner will just randomly freeze while trying to save the file or logs - can't close or do anything other than use task manager to shut it down... Green bar is changing like it's " trying " to save, but just sits there? Somehow saves the file though and appears to be correct, because I always go back and see if the changes I made are still there. Just worried it might corrupt a file?

    yea I've had it randomly since 3.0 as well, but I dont READ that often... in this case it never opened the SAVE FILE box... it just froze instead. Almost like the command that HPT uses to tell Windows to open the box never made it.. sometimes you get this when a HDD has to wake up.. oh well. I just forced closed and re-read. Box popped up ok 2nd time. Just strange it was the first time reading after installing.

    And curious about the DTC compare settings... will that ever list differences in compare table, or will it always be hard to see by scrolling thought the DTC list and looking for a red box showing there is a difference, and not showing the difference.

    It's not frozen. There is a pop window that is hidden behind another forum. Alt+tab and you'll find it.

    This. If I try multitasking while reading, the save window will go behind the program and doesn't have a task bar button.

    I have also had that problem, and sometimes can get it back by clicking the "show desktop" icon, however this time I couldn't. I did not try Alt+Tab. Can this be improved somehow?

    Don't multitask while reading or writing?

    I haven't tried the alt+tab, but mine honestly shows the green bar "scrolling" and it just stays like this instead of "saving" then disappearing like normal such as if you were just doing a regular file save - not necessarily saving an entirely new file? Whole editor or scanner will freeze - no way to click on or close anything - always have to use task manager... Is this the same thing your saying we need to hit the alt and tab keys for?

    Will try the next time it happens...
