08 F450 6.4 VIN/Anti theft?

I have a customer with f450 6.4 that is fighting with over fueling cylinder #8. He has troubleshoot this back to the ECM itself. He purchased a used ECM out of a f550 same year and engine. He installed the used ecm but truck threw security/ anti-theft possibly vin mismatch codes. I am trying to help him out and Bill in support said hpt doesn't do anything for vin changing. I am wondering if i were to read out the original ecm and then install the used one would i be able to write entire into the used ecm and get him going? Or can i disable the anti theft and get the used ecm to communicate with the truck?

You can try to write but you need to license both pcm vins. Also I'm almost certain 550 pcms fall under medium duty and act differently. I could be wrong though.
