    Thumbs down SLP Symbol Performance fabricated aluminum intake manifold

    Has anyone tuned Gen IV (2012 Camaro SS) with this intake manifold...any magic...any pitfalls. couldn't find much with Google ?????? Sporting a BBK 102mm TB.

    I've seen one, but haven't tuned one - if memory serves it's a Chinese knock off of something like a Wilson - if I'm thinking of the right thing here? Looked awesome for a turbo application, just not sure how well it would do NA without one heck of a cam???

    Thanks Greg, can always count on you to chime in...Its a 2012 Camaro SS, Stroked, 11:1, ZL1 pump and TSP VVT-1 cam. MAF is really wierd but trying to work out a few mechanical bugs before we fire it up to tune. Wants a shit load of air so far :-)

    Hello I currently have one on my ls2 with twin gt3582r's still tuning performs decent. I do notice some expansion under boost, and for a long time I keep hearing a strange noise from the top end of the engine and could not place it until for some reason I put my hand on the top of the intake and the noise disappeared. It give of a reversion from the airflow.

    have a friend with a similar manifold, the ports didnt line up properly and leaked a bit under boost.

    still made 816rwhp through a 6l80e. he has now purchased an ict billet spacer to line the ports up better.

    Customers application is 416, NA and with a BBK 102 having a hell of a time trying to get it started and running. Had many mechanical issues which we have worked through but no matter what I set the Final Air/Startup to, it won't hold an idle......will keep plugging away. Almost seems as the blade closes too much no matter what the settings..

    If you don't mind me asking, what's the air fuel when it's chugging Ed? Does it clear up with throttle? If this is the same intake - were all of the boost and vacuum referenced fittings plugged under the center of the plenum? Any leaks?

    I never had any idle issues, it was only a forged 6.2 with a small blower cam. to be honest it surprised me how well it did idle at 700rpm compared to when it had the supercharger on it vs turbo's. we just kept hitting a wall when trying to wind boost into it, wasnt after inspection of pulling the motor out to change cam etc that he found the issue.
