Problems matching axis labels in tune file to compare file

I am missing the boat on this....

I am (for example) trying to copy resistance values from a compare file to those of my tune file in the editor, but the axis labels are not identical. I can copy and paste values, but not the actual temperature (labels) from the compare file to the tune file??

the compare file, for example , might read (in degrees on the axis labels)

224 200 185 wheras in my tune file, they read
    192 188 175

I can copy axis labels, but paste is greyed out ?? (both tune and compare files are from same year, model of vehicle)

    Any thoughts? (v3.2)

    thanks

    Post both tunes

Worst case, open the second file separately and copy the table labels from it that way

You're going about it the wrong way. The copy w/labels doesn't work like that.

Open up the IAT calibration table on the tune that has the data you want to use. At the top, where it says "Resistance", click on that. That will open up a table of just header values.

Select everything, right click, copy (not with headers)

Go to new tune, click on resistance to open header values.. paste the new ones in

Then copy/paste the IAT temp values over to the main IAT table

Save/close/re-open the tune. Should be good to go now.

You usually at least have to close the "engine" window before the new headers will show up but closing/reopening the tune altogether will ensure it shows up

(As a side note--any axis header that is underlined can be clicked on/opened/edited)

tried 3 times, no go....I am missing something

compare file 1st column is 67 , tune file is 57

    never changes??? v 3.2.38

also, I have no option for copy with headers anyhow??

I just told you how to change the axis labels. And like I said.. save/close/re-open the tune after changing the axis headers so they'll show up. They won't change at first.

I've done it on your tunes no problem, both directions (wasn't sure which was which), but it 100% works.

You can't use the compare feature to do this also.. have to open both tunes separately. Common mistake

as a possible convenience , perhaps hpt could implement a change to allow users to do this without having to open up 2 iterations of the software?

Kind of clumsy on a laptop screen....lol

In any case, it's all done

    thanks again!!

    No problem

Yeah, you used to be able to.. not sure why that feature didn't make it into V3

I'm having a difficult time with this myself. On the tune I'd like to use, RPM on the X axis is underlined and can therefore be copied. On the tune I need to copy it to, it isn't underlined and nothing I do will allow me to make any changes.
