    Trouble logging inj duty cycle

I have a 2007 c6z06 with an e38. I am having trouble logging injector duty cycle percentage. I have the inj duty cycle parameter in my charts, but I can't find it anywhere to add in my channels list which is why I'm assuming I get nothing when I log. Is there a different channel I need to log to make the duty cycle percentage work on the charts? Also I'm using the latest version of the software. Thanks

Sounds like you're plotting a Math Parameter.

You need to add the channels that the Math Parameter uses to calculate it's value.

To find out what Channels a Math Parameter requires, open up the Math Parameters Manager under the Tools menu. There you can find your math, and in the bottom right, it will show you the channels that you must add to your Channels list to support the Math.

In the case if Injector Duty Cycle, you likely need to add Injector Pulse Width and Engine Speed (RPM) channels.

Awesome, I will try this. Thanks for the info, I figured there was a combo of channels I needed but didnt know how to figure out what was required.

Go to tools-->math parameters (or hit ctrl+m) to bring up the math parameter manager

Find whatever math parameter you're wanting to use. Inj Duty cycle is under fuel flow

Click on the parameter you want to look at more detail on.

Over on the right side it will show you all the details about that parameter. At the bottom it will have a list of the parameters it needs in order to work. If a parameter is highlighted in red then you aren't logging it, and thus it can't be used. That means that math parameter won't work.

SO--yeah, pretty much just log injector PW and RPM and injectors duty cycle will work.

Can anyone send me a screenshot on how to set up Injector Duty Cycle chart? I'm tracking the Injector Pulse width and RPM, and the chart is giving me some crazy information.

When I try to post the files, HPTuners tries to open the scan file and my browser opens the layout file as an Xml file. Can I email them to you?
