bought a second hptuner cable...hptuners program does not recognize the new cable

I have had hptuners standard for several years. For another project I got hptuners pro, mainly to have a second cable in addition to needing the wideband option. Problem I am having is when I plug the pro into my laptop it does not recognize it and still has all the info from my hpt standard interface in the program. What do I need to do to use both without any issues?

You'll have to add the interface ID & application key for the new interface to HPT

IDon't think I have an application key for the new cable. It's been so long since I bought my othhrr one I don't remember how you even get it. Does it come on a paper in the box? If so I don't have it. Do you get it from the hptuner website? Will I have to create a new login on the website for the second cable since it uses the cable number as the user Id?

Setup an account for the new interface on the hptuners website. Once you can login there will be a button that says "send my latest application key" or something to that effect. That will email it to you, then you can add it to Scanner/Editor and you should be good to go

Oh.. one last thing. That is assuming you bought it brand new. If it was a used unit then send a picture of the back of the unit with the interface # to HPT support and ask for access to the account.
