    logging: should ask to save before exit

    At the end of a logging session, if you exit without saving the data first, it should ask you if you want to save before actually exiting. Come on! this is just obvious UI stuff, I've never used another program that didn't do this! If there's an option to make it do this, well sorry... I couldn't find one however.

    You can please half the people half the time but all the people never.......most were screaming for auto save because we all from time to time would start the scanner without saving and loss that sessions data and wonder (or better yet wish) they were saved automatically :-)

    Just for my curiosity, why would this being performed in the background present an issue?

    I'm sure if we had a popup/prompt every time you had a log open to save it, more people would complain. Popups/prompts are annoying and difficult to navigate, especially from inside a car.

    You could always make it an option... The user could choose between A) "Automatic Log Saves", B) "Prompt to save when exiting", C) A and B or D) "None of the above".

    Personally, I always like having options in the software that allow me to customize things to my preferences - this way everyone can make it work how *they* want it to work - and you actually *can* satisfy everyone all of the time! :-) Ok, maybe not *everyone*, but mostly everyone!

    Must be in a different spot on that? I thought they were going to add an option to let us pick the location at one point but I haven't heard anything about that in a while.

    I may try Windows 10 today. I'll let you know if I figure out where it's saving them

    I am unable to find them, and I am running windows10...I am so used to 10 being difficult!
    I noticed that when the log is auto saved, it looks like this...

    hptuners/vcmscanner/log/16

    Does this mean anything to anyone?? Im not very computer savy...

    It's basically the same as every other version.

    This PC-->Documents-->HPTuners-->VCM Scanner-->Logs

    For a lot of people there is another logs folder in the HP Tuners directory which is empty.. that is NOT it, so don't look there. Keep going to VCM Scanner and then logs and you'll find them.
