    E85 ready?

I have a 2105 Sierra 5.3. I didnt realize when i bought it the 15's are not all flex fuel.
I purchased the e85 sensor, and plan to install in the next few days. I compared my tune with the one in my 14 which was flex fuel, but would love for someone more experienced to double check me before I fill up with e85. Just as a little insurance. Thanks

I just did this to my 2106 Chevy Silverado and it looks good, a few things I changed in addition is under Fuel System>Diagnostics>Flex Fuel>Sensor diagnostics ENABLE and Engine Diagnostics>DTCs enable P02269 Water in Fuel Condition and P0178 and P0179 Flexible Fuel Sensor Circuit Low/High. Other than that your good to go. Fuel up with E85 and hang on!

You are almost done but there are a couple of areas you will want to probably change from what GM has provided.

    1. Spark Correction -> AFR Correction -> Alcohol

They have the timing all over the place at the WOT EQ Ratios. I would zero out the areas your PE table covers and only modify that area if necessary. The 16 Camaro SS is a train wreck on this table.

    2. Your IAT Spark Base table actually looks pretty good. You may want to tweak the Mult4 multiplier to reduce the effect of the base table slightly where 80% or greater.

You can buy just the sensors on amazon or ebay or any GM dealership but have to plumb them in wiring and fuel wise.

Try these guys, see if they have anything. I'd just give them a call. They can probably at least get you the parts you need.

I just got done working with DMS on the Camaro kit. They were under the impression that there was an issue in the 16 ECM that would prevent the use of the FF sensor but I proved that wasn't true. They agreed to fabricate the kit. It will be up on their website today. We went from start to finish in about a week.

Where they wire up? Does the non e85 cars/trucks have a plug to plug the e85 sensor?

Have to run wire to ECM for signal and then you can use a coil pack harness or whatever for power

One wire to ecu, one to key on power and one to ground. Then turn it on in the tune and dial it in, simple.

there is already a pug for the sensor just in front of the fuel tank..
I added the sensor in line close to the tank by using a Female to Female line
Tune repository has a stock e85 tune

Just the questions I wanted to ask...I'm using the High Octane Spark tables from a Canned Tune I bought. Is the added timing in the Alcohol table too much? Is this where most people get the added gain from e85? I understand e85 is highly knock resistant, but added timing may not add more power...just enough is the key. I backed off the factory adder in this file, but concerned it still might be too much. Haven't flashed yet. Thanks.

I took a quick look over your tune and I saw this one thing that needs to be changed..
it will make the ECM react to the alcohol level in the truck faster.
and the it is how the Flex Fuel trucks come stock.
there is a Stock Flex fuel tune on the tune repository

I am happy I found this thread! I have a 16 non flex fuel. I am going to order some an fittings and flex fuel sensor. Cut the stock lines and flare the line and flex fuel sensor.
