Going to look at an 05 6.0, and I wanted to check a few things to try and figure out the health of the oil cooler.
I'm wanting to know if HP Tuners can scan engine oil temp.
Does anyone know?
TIA.

Well, brought HPT along on my test drive.
In case anyone was wondering, there is virtually no useful information in the total 20ish available parameters.
I've had the same issue. It's just that it's a fully custom setup that ford did. My solus was not happy with them either.
I'll work on getting this rectified.

Do you guys have a list of things you would like to log so that when I update this I can be sure I have you all covered? Shouldn't take me long to fix this up.

Engine oil temp would be huge.
Engine oil pressure, if it's available.
Also, the high pressure oil pump pressure would be really nice.
It would also be great if there was some way we could run injector tests.
Thanks Eric!
High pressure oil pressure ICP readings. ficm voltage. IPR %. If you could make it do a self injector balance test that would be awesome. That's just icing on the cake. But I'm more preferential to ipr % ICP reads and Ficm. Save me a lot of diagnostic time with a multi meter. Pls thnx. You guys rule.
HPOP ICP Desired and Actual (PSI)
IPR Duty Cycle (%)
Fuel quantity desired and actual (mg)
Torque (lb-ft)
RPM obviously
Oil Temp
Coolant Temp
Exhaust Backpressure (KPA AND PSI)
Boost (KPA and PSI)
VGT DC% Actual and desired
Timing
Pedal Position
Injector Pulse Width
Mass Fuel Desired
EGR DC (%)
Fan DC and any other fan pids (%)
FICM Voltage supply and output
Transmission gear indicator
line pressure if possible
TCC Slip
TCC Lockup
Trans Temp
Trans input and output speed sensors
I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
Eric. Crucial items, are HPOP ( High Pressure Oil Pump ) Readings. 0 upwards of 4000 psi. Low pressure oil pump reading, Fuel pressure readings, IPR Duty Percent, VGT, FICM IN and out voltage ( IN 12v, out 48 Volt ), Oil Temp, Coolant temp, Trans temp to find delta temperature differences... and obviously, everything we see from our gas PID's too. i huge item for me is, the HPOP High pressure oil pump, FICM and IPR
I have a 2003 F350 6.0 V8 Powerstroke Diesel.
I can send you log files, full read data, or whatever would help you get a good foot on it. Thanks for the help eric.
Update to the latest and let me know what is missing from there.

Test Log.hplOk so it looks like most everything is there. But I can't get them to log. I just updated as well. I attached the one log with the engine channels.
Also FICM voltage didn't both get on there for a channel as well i believe you probly either want to rephrase "Fuel Rail pressure actual and desired" to "High Pressure Oil actual and desired".
Eric. I did a breif look and it did look very good.
Thank you.
I need to take some time to go through it and setup gauges and charts. But inwill report back with info. And Yes. It's quite confusing with powerstroke diesels. Ford calls the oil rails fuel rails. So the fuel rail pressure. Is actually OIL RAIL PRESSURE. Coming from your HPOP High pressure oil pump. Oil pipes in the top and fuel in the middle of our Injectors
