This is my initiation into Tuning and have hit a brick wall already.
I hope someone can help on this site
My system uses 2 single speed fans but Fan 1 relay is being told to operate (BLUE 42) approx 2 seconds after engine fires from cold - so nowhere near its set turn On temp of 209.
But it can be turned Off and On via the VCM control panel. So relays are functioning correctly
Although Fan 2 will come on correctly at 220 it does not switch Off when cooling to 210
Any input would be appreciated

sounds like you have a AC code or some other code causing the fans to default on. Check fuses and the DTC's in the scanner.

As I have no AC will I be safe to delete all associated codes anyway ?

AC clutch and request terminals RED 14,17,18 & 43 removed from PCM
solved this problem for anyone in similar situation.
