C7 Z06 Throwing P2227 Baro Code after intake install

A friend of mine installed a custom intake filter setup on his Z06 and the car is now throwing a P2227 Baro Code after driving for a bit and going into REP. He tried raising the limits for this code under engine diag, but had no luck. The maf cal has been dialed in for the new intake and it runs great other than this problem.

I logged both baro channels with and without the new intake. The Baro pressure stays much higher at WOT with the new intake, but is at most about 10-15kpa different than the readings with the stock intake. Has anybody else seen this?

I will need to check some logs to see where they are exactly. I do not believe baro changed at idle from the stock intake to the new one. It just seems that with the less restrictive filter there is not as much of a pressure drop when at WOT causing a bit different reading there.

Could it be a faulty MAF?
