This isn't a book but it's a good write up showing you. It's an older version but should give you an idea. Hope this helps.

What specific trans are you trying to tune? There are some pretty major differences between some of the trans, so the tuning "strategy" and details are going to be different depending on the specific trans...

Anyone have the GM 6 Speed guide from The Tuning school? I wonder if it is worth the money. I am getting fairly comfortable with the 4L but the 6L has many differences.

It has some basic information but I am not in agreement with some of the things they suggest changing. I think you are better off with some of the write-ups on the forums.

Thanks. I found that with their beginner GM Course also. I don't agree with some of their methods but they did provide a decent bit of general information.

I have the tuning school book, it more of a program manual and does explain why for the changes in the transmission program ,,,if you read it several times you can understand how it works ,,,, and I did end up talking to mike in depth about some of the changes in the manual ,, I would recommend it ,,

If its the same one I got a few years ago, things have changed and I wouldn't follow that advice if I was you. Taking all the TM out of a build with some power is not what you want to do.
