Torque Model editing functionality now in beta!

I am pleased to announce that we've been working on a solution for editing the torque model on Gen 5 ECMs and the latest beta 3.5.055 has this functionality incorporated. If you would like to give it a try, please e-mail support your interface serial number so we can get you setup with the beta.

Our editing concept involves editing multiple tables at the same time (note the link selections checkbox above the tables). This is necessary for a good approximation of the coefficients.
You may notice that each table corresponds to a specific number of degrees of spark timing. You can adjust the resolution of these through controls to the left of the tables, but we've found that using the default setup is sufficient for a good coefficient approximation.

Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Does it have the option for axle torque vs engine torque (8 speeds)?

Someone asked before and he said it wouldn't work for Gen 4 so I guess it is only available for Gen 4 OS by mistake.

That's was me and just to clarify some things previously asked... Won't work on gen 4's - something calculated differently on them / you can now edit the final torque numbers and it calculates the coefficients from them... Don't remember much of what else was asked...

I think it should work for Gen 4 as well, but remember, all this needs to be tested for both Gen4 and Gen5.

Tomorrows beta Virtual Torque has a bit more functional UI. We'll be constantly improving it as we continue development, and as feedback comes in.

So tomorrows should possibly work on gen 4's then? Nice - no more blind adjustments - even though gen 4's are much more forgiving...

Edit menu, just like Virtual Volumetric Efficiency. Gen 5 file must already be open.

Wish we could edit the Y axis to make airmass in "G" opposed to "mg"
Not the end of the world just move the decimal

The UNDO button is a must and so is interpolate and most other functions, it mentions it's coming so that's good

Adjusting the map is very useful, 400kpa is a ton
I set mine up with 20 min and 220 max in 25 increments, works well for my personal car

Whenever I change anything on the side menus such as airmass to MAP, the table goes blank. Same if I change spark, incerments, etc.

No problem... been messing with it for last couple of hours doing comparisons on factory Gen V setups...

These tables have ALWAYS needed to be modded, just no real way of doing so, so many just left stock..
Made some changes that I plan to try out in the morning.

Many of the Factory tq C in the virtual tq tables aren't as smooth as I would have thought!???

So how about that serial data import from a Mainline dyno to get a live torque reading in HPT? Seems like this would be a perfect reason for it.

Still waiting on beta personally, but Jarrahs showed peaks too - usually right where you would experience weird throttle issues, so fingers crossed - right
