    2017 z06 e85

    Anyone done an E85 conversion on a 2017 Z06?

Details on car im trying to tune on a mix of 93 and E85:
    2017 Z04, LT4 8L90E
Mods: Halltech CAI, IW 18% lower pulley, 1-7/8 long tubes, catless mids.
Car made 612/631 on a mustang dyno after i finished tuning on straignt 93 pump gas.

Now looking to turn it up a bit with some E85 blend. Car has a DSX 2014+C7 Z06 Flex Fuel Kit

I have done several 2014 and 2015 LT1 and LT4 cars on E85 with great success. However, with this car, there seems to be no interaction between the sensor and the ECU.

With flex fuel turned on in the cal, (diagnostics enabled, master flex fuel enabled - set to sensor (not virtual)) - same setup i have used with sucess in the past, the logged ethanol content is stuck at 3.14%. This value does not change whether or not the sensor is plugged in or depending on the fuel type in the car.

Have tried with pump 93 octane (E10), 100 octane (E0), straignt E85 (measured E82 on a tester), and a mix of the E10 93 octane and the E85 that should come out to roughly E45.

I have the flex fuel signal wire tied into pin 38 on the J1 ECU connector.

Does anyone know if the 2017s have different ECU pinouts than the 14/15/16 ECUs? Or if anyone knows the correct pin for flex fuel sensor on the 2017? Have heard rumours that GM removed flex fuel capabilities from the 2017 ECU, but not much to prove that out.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks much,
    Dan

    Got it figured out.

Needed the new 3.5 beta version to activate the correct pin in the ecu.

Yeah I was going to say the sensor enable switch for Virtual or Sensor needed to be swapped.

I ask because I have a 2017 Camaro SS and a DMX flex fuel kit. I have 3.4 and didn't know there was a 3.5 beta. I'm curious if I will run into the same issue you did unless I get the 3.5beta.

I think reaching out to HPTuners would be a much smarter idea. I was just looking to see if anyone has already been through it.

if I loaded 3.5 beta, would it copy over my 2.24 directories?

I ask that because I have 2.24 on a couple laptops, and 3.4 on a couple laptops. I enjoy using both platforms and was wondering if I could load 3.5 separate from my 2.24 or would I have to use my laptop with 3.4x

I use both on the same computer... just uninstall 3.34 and load 2.24

Or you can just run two OS's on your laptop with 2.24 and 3.4. Easy

Would you happen to have a copy of the tune you used for the 93 going for a similar build on my z so would love to have a baseline to look over?
