LT knock returns to my car without any ST knock present

Hi Guys,

I am new to this, i have a Jeep SRT 6.1,

basically the car was having alot of ST and LT knock - up to 12.5 LT knock and running bad so i got the car tuned by a well known guy here in Dubai, car runs great now but it seems to have LT knock about 2.5 maximum return after a day or so of using it.

never is there anything on the ST knock, I am using a Diablosport Trinity to view the current knock then eventually it throws a knock sensor code for Bank1.

if i disconnect battery for 10 mins and then drive it there is nothing present and it runs great, but sure enough a day or so later the knock LT 2.5 returns.

i have HP tuners PRO is it anything i can do my self , I have booked it back into the garage to have it looked at by the tuner but im keen to learn so wanted to know what might cause this.

it also seems the knock is on light throttle however it is present when WOT as well.

Take a read of the cars tune, then make a log of the vehicle out driving, post it up and we will take a look.

LT Knock is Long Term knock, so similar to your fuel trims, the average ST Knock you have will be pushed into the LT Knock table.

Pull 2degees of timing if you are showing -2.5 LT KR, flash it and run again. You should be back at 0 LT KR and see what your engine likes with timing. The SRT8 6.1s I find like a good 21-23* timing.
