as far as i know Boundary is the end so any adders like rpm/temp are added to before the boundary then makeup should be calculated same as the rpm/temp are so they add to before the boundary "advanced" further, nothing adds a delay to boundary its final everything calculates before it

If this is the case then formula adjustments somewhere past v17 have broken this excel file.

I've been using the last one - haven't seen or noticed any issues other than some header labeling here and there?

zero out rpm, then lower ECT until u stop the fuel out exhaust, then u know where u are at and can increase boundary from 520 to where ever it likes to be as rpm rise, the info in the spreadsheet works well for setting it up

I had same issue trying to use the spreadsheet in anything but excel. Its just too confusing. Once I used excel its easy because all the labels are there.

It worked just fine in libre office (stable track) for me. Definitely doesn't turn out well in google sheets though

My pw at wot is 16.2ms this wraps the soit around the graph. do i just continue to raise the boundry then? i downloaded excel today and so much easier knowing what the labels are.

I've played with sheet some and think I'm on track. Would anyone know if I'm finally grasping correctly?

Expect VE map to be way off after making these changes and would appreciate any comments about this being setup right. Still need to re-verify PW vs RPM.
Basically centered at PPV until EOIT reaches IVC, then worked backwards.
This looks great on paper but has anyone verified the injectors really follow this spreadsheet?

thats very delayed 670, furthest i have been is 600-610 and my other tables are same as yours, u could try it but keep an eye on the wideband encase its too far and it may even need some more timing up top to suit, GHuggins im sure will have a good idea of what it will be like tho

Easy enough to end it earlier...just limited it to the recommended 15* before IVC as per the doc page. Definitely needs some re-tweeking on cold starts and idle airflows now. I was spraying way too early before and the intakes must have been sucking puddles from the runners. Oddly enough it was idling and running great though.. I save the old tune and will spend some time seeing where this goes.

it is affected but a few things as i found like how free your exhaust is ect where once i got the twin 3" i could delay it a little more up top (like a good 60+ deg) so maby it wasnt clearing out of the chamber enough before

2000rpms to 5600rpms - way too retarded - you want to focus more on the intake valve through there and then shift the dotted red line over to about where the solid red line is - you may even be able to split that in two and be good, but definitely fix the mid rpm areas...

Most stuff I've read says when possible avoid SOIT while the exhaust is still open (overlap period). Advancing as suggested would push SOIT into overlap ????

EDIT: BTW Graphs don't reflect changes for exhaust valve duration and LSA on v21

So I actually just started looking deeper into this tool and believe there is a double dip of Make Up Pulse (MUP). I was using my abacus related tool set for a customer and decided I would really give this awesome tool a run. I kept coming up 30 degrees different. I personally didn't include the MUP in my dinosaur so I added it for grins. When I was done, I kept coming up 30 degrees different on the SOIT...As I started looking I saw that the EOIT and SOIT values in the Table tab both include the MUP (Input!D21). Believe it should only be in one....or none :-)

Before I didn't even include the MUP. As I am not really keen on when and how often the PCM initiates this extra pulse, what impact do you think it would have. I'm leaning towards if its duty cycle for interaction is very low....then maybe it doesn't need to be included. It especially impacts trying to place the idle injection event in and around the PPV.

    Ed M

PS -- Will, I'm working on it .......:-)

Pretty sure that it's only used during idle and cruise. Chris said that he couldn't confirm for sure, but I've had pretty decent luck with the tool so far.
