    Replacement Sensor for LC-1

I'm searching but having troubles finding the answer (I've seen it before).

Apparently, the LC-1 sensor can be replaced with a VW part no and picked up from a dealership. Can someone post the partno? I'm looking at getting a backup sensor (assuming the cable to the LC-1 is included).

    Thanks!

Well, I went to a dealership and asked for an LSU4.2 5 wire sensor. The one that is probably the correct one was quoted to me for $270 Canadian. So I figure I'll just order it from Innovate for 80 US.

    Thanks!

beacuse mine gets a lot of abuse time its every couple of months...
abuse time being on all the time for 8 hrs with time where it gets to just sit while writig to the pcm....
so I get a shorter life...
not to mention that mine gets a lot of poor fueling..sometimes too rich to begin with and they get all clogged up over time and time again of too rich... and too hot
so mine only seem to last about 3 months
my last one lasted me 4 and a half ish

I know guys with them as permanent setups that they have had them 9 months with no problems...
they can lsat as long as a regular narrowband o2 if you have it wired up like a regular 02 to be turned on with key on

mine being very portable thanks to some fancy wiring and a box I made makes mine take more abuse than a normal full time o2

I've had my sensor wired in full time for nearly a year at this point, and it is working like a champ to this very date. It is only acting as a wideband (I use it for my XD-1 gauge), and it is only being used in daily driving conditions, so it isn't under a lot of strain.

Thanks for the Part No. I contacted the dealership with this number and 75 bucks, in stock!!! They must've guessed at the wrong part!

Thanks for this info. I wanted to buy an extra because I sort of made my wiring on mine semi-permanent by cutting the wires on the 02 to locate the LC1 controller under the dash. I wanted an extra so I could use in other cars by just yanking out the LC1 controller and leaving the 02 wired in.

yeah... my issue is that I need it to be extremely accurate at all times...and after about 3 months or so..they seem to loose the accuracy that I desire...
they still work..definately close enough for a gauge...just not smooth enough and accurate enough for me to use while tuning...

plus mine probably sees 30-40 hrs a week sometimes...sometimes more ...sometimes less...

so, the not so good one resembles my graphs....LOL

I hope my issue is the wideband. I bought a spare narrowband too, cuz i'm suspicious that I'm running rich due to my aweful fuel mileage

....slight fueling errors, cam, overlap, and too much spark or not enough can make the AFR graph look rough...the graph he shows has a pretty big swing too it, that's what a bad one looks like

it should look fairly consistent though..
at idle you are generally in teh sme cell or at a minimum with in the same 4 cells..and they shouldnt be too drastically different
    ..reguardless of cam size...
