    Question

I understand it better but still have more questions.

In the table I posted below, what do the actual 0-150 numbers mean? If its g/sec, g/sec of what, fuel or air?

Can I scan for this value in the table?

So has this been tried in CLSD , if so do the same results in stable fueling show ?? I am going to try this , as my fueling from morning to evening ( OLSD ) shows up to 8 % difference ! In the morning on the way to work VE error remains around 0,1,2 in most cells , on the way home in the evening ( 25 minute drive ) I see anything from +1 to +6 !

So its time to stop & try to get this more stable ! I have been tuning VE in 25 minute logs , 2 a day , for over a week now n still no stability !

the car also changes from dead cold start to warm starts as well, have to remember that. So what you see in the AM may not be what it would show if the car was started warm.

this has been tried in OLSD CLSD OLMAF CLMAF and works great on all methods for me
slightly rich on cold mornings...but youwant it to be that way anyways for a good cold startup.

bias table is the key on 2001+ vehicles

OK , Made a few changes to my tune ( OLSD )! Went for the Bias of 1 across the table , Added 10% to existing VE for a start & turned off DFCO ! Logged 25 minute drive to work which resulted in averages of +1,2,3's up to 3600rpm / +3,4,7's up to 5600rpm ! Made changes to VE !

Logged the drive home from work with the changes made ! Resulting in 1,2,3's in 2000rpm column , majority of 0 & 1's from 2400 to 5200rpm with a scarce 2,3 & 4 ! Already I can see that this runs much more stable in the fueling than before !! Will try to get some more logs & continue with the VE over the next few days !

Thus far from todays results , a BIG Kudos to you guys for sharing this with all ! Maybe all my tunes from today onward will be using your method & hopefully bringing some consistancy for the boys running at the track !!

good ole "search" function drug up this old thread, but is directly related to my question.

"cylinder charge temperature" Complex model....enable or disable.
description states for FI applications and relocated IAT sensors its "helpful" to disable this function?

My situation is a procharged LS1, with the IAT sensor relocated in the induction tubing just prior to the TB. This seems to be working great, I have tweaked the timing tables under the IAT adder section, in hopes that an Alky failure will not add timing due to not seeing the lower IAT's....so far so good.

Now my question is should I review this whole thread and go after the Bias changes? or simply disable this function as I seem to be setup correctly to do so.

If I disable the function, what ramifications can I expect to see?

Thanks guys...steep up hill learning curve..but I am trying!!

OK, I was just asking because it does not work on the pre-2001 calibrations.

If it was enabled on my OS, I would tweak it. If you want the easy way out, disable it and just keep an eye on your fueling all the time and retune for weather changes.

It kinda went off on a lot of tangents, what do you want to know?

I tried to have my IAT set to constant and it worked well for hot restarts (very well actually) and heat soaking issues. My AFR stayed rock solid. It even wasn't bad with temp swings at low RPM/load.

The biggest issue was how far it ended up being off in large temp swings in the same day. I actually just put the IAT back in and am working on some other things now that I have that information. To really make use of it, I need to put a 2002 OS in my car so I can adjust the bias. That coupled with the data I have from a steady IAT should help build a reasonable bais table.

Just did this on my tahoe. I had to add an awful lot of fuel to even get the wideband to come off of 16 (ngk). Took a nice long drive to pick my son up, just babying it along. Open the log and the damn map sensor didn't regester on the log what so ever!!! But it's below 70° and it actually had a steady rolling idle finally. It's going to get even colder tonight so I will see what happens.

Found this searching. Is there anything that can be done with the 2000 z28 os to help this? Running 3 bar sd and see some stupid swings.
