Hey guys,
I have a bit of an oddball situation here. I have a cammed LS3 on a 2010+ E38 (os 12635859, i don't recall service no off the top of my head) and a T42 (os 2423357) controlling a built 13pin 60e all rocking a 2010 express van OS pair in a standalone situation using a PSI harness.
I'm having an issue with the t42 throwing a range switch code and it generally not working right. It doesn't seem to see or do anything with the states of the internal pressure switches in the trans. it will up/downshift via mph but when you manually move drom D-3-2-1 the trans shifts but the reported gear stays at whatever gear corresponds to the tps/mph that youd expect from the shift schedule. The TCC also does not lock up. I can lock it with 2 way controls but the tcm never commands a lock, probably because its confused as hell with no ISS and whatever is going on with the internal pressure switches.
The OS is for a 17 pin 60e and from what I can tell they are pinned slightly different and the PSI harness is setup for a 15 pin 60e.
The shop that built the trans tested it before shipping it to us so I trust its mechanically and electrically fine.
So my question to you all is, do any of you have a good os pair that works with the older 60es but newer T42 os?
Or can i throw an 07 or so TCM os on here and it'll talk with the e38? Since this is a standalone deal i dont care about abs/bcm compatibility as long as the ecm/tcm are sending each other the right info over can
