2.1.12 can't be that big of an update otherwise it would be called 2.2.0.

I've never been so eager for an update as I am for 2.1.12 for the black box logging.

    its a pretty big update...
its not gonna be called 2.2 cause it wasnt a big software revision like 2.0 or 2.1 was...
I'd be willing to bet that when they finally get to the ford and dodge stuff though it will get a whole new number...that will probably be a while yet..LOL

And my first thought was that the sercet was going to be Ford and Dodge support. I have no need for Ford or Dodge support yet other then I want to read the random check engine code that my mom's explorer keeps getting.

I'm guessing that reading the codes from all the modules took a lot of work. Any reason why the guys would work so hard on this if we are not going to get to tune those modules?

Just keep in mind what they've said in the past... each additional module has a ton of different operating systems... and if it doesn't affect performance then it's not likely to be developed (don't need to give the EPA any reasons to be bitchy or for people to change safety related items thus opening up a liability)

That is exactly why I asked the question. Why even talk to these modules unless something else related to them is planned in the future. I agree that I don't need to get into any of these modules, except maybe the ABS.

FWIW I consider braking to be part of performance on a road course. With the stock ABS tuning you can't trail brake at lower speeds without the ABS shutting down. When the ABS computer does shut down it puts the bias adjustment all the way to the rear. When it does put the bias all the way to the rear then you can't stop and it's easy to spin the car. Tell me not having front brakes at 120 mph on a road course is not dangerous. Putting crappy glazed pads in the back has been the fix for me so far and I've only gotten an ABS INOP once since doing that. Plus it seems to cut down on axle hop as well which is the primary reason the ABS computer shuts down. Not that I have to hack the ABS to drive the car, but it would be the first module that I would want into.

I thought ABS delete with that SJM kit, was the real
    fix for that.
