2014 Silverado, T43, TCM OS 24270599 TCC lockup issues

    Hello,

Been a long time since I've posted. I'm having some issues getting an aftermarket stall to lock the converter clutch. Seems this operating system only has an apply ramp and max pressure tables. Well, I'm commanding 150 psi through the apply table and I have the max table maxed out. I'm seeing 50ish PSI on the scanner when it goes to lock, and the clutch "bounces". I can command lock up using the scanner bi-di controls and it commands 594 psi, and locks up fully. I've done way more cars than trucks and in hundreds of cars with countless different stalls, I've never experienced this problem. In all the cars there's a 'regulator gain' and 'regulator offset'. I'm pretty sure the offset is the pressure "clip" I'm looking for but tech support tells me it is not available in this OS. Wondering if anyone else has run in to this and what they've done to work around it.

Seems really strange the trucks don't have these regulator parameters, but the cars with T43s in the same years do.

    Data log and tune attached.

In the data log you can see the TCC "bounce" at 3:06, 4:18, 4:32. Around 9:14 I lock it using the scanner controls, it commands 594 psi, and no bounce.

    TIA

Have you tried any of the TCC adapt settings? I've noticed some differences from platform to platform, but not sure if that will affect your situation. Seems many of the newer trans OS's are missing the regulator tables.

Did you ever find a solution to this, I am working on the same setup with a Circle D triple that is going through the same situation.

Still looking for help on this, we cant be the only ones. I tried setting slip to a low value around 3-5 rpm and that stopped the aggressive rpm changes on lockup. Still looking for an answer to get 60+ lbs of consistent pressure. Did you get this sorted?

Im hopping this gets figured out, I was set to buy a circle D tripple disc, but am holding off till the tuning can fully support it.

    sounds exactly like this thread.

which confirms my suspicion there is something in the OS side of the trans that screws with the tcc lockup.

Hey I realize this is a very old post. But I'm wondering if you ever figured out a solution for getting a constant pressure on this os? Or is there an updated os that works in the 2014 trucks that allows a constant tcc line pressure?

Still searching for answer also!! Getting 0-100rpm slip part throttle. Circle d 3200 stall.

This might help I had to do the following to eliminate the slip in the stock converter (2015 L83 6L80):

-All desired slip values zeroed out (DoD/AC/ On/Off trans).
    -Apply Ramp zeroed out (everything).
-Regulator Offset Increased from 26.69 to 45PSI. (I dropped this from 60 because the controller does some funky stuff with lock/unlock when you let off the gas slowly at low RPM cruising speeds).
-Changed TCC adapt portions to the 2016+ values (Pretty sure this didn't do anything).

The apply ramp was the one I noticed that did the most.

The old post had poor tune.
Compare to yours and see if any of this helps.
The TM Upshift 1-2 thru 5-6 set to 1.00 for firmest shift, reduce by .250 until satisfied, it will be hard hitting. Looks like the stall torque management is still low. Set it to Enable 8190 and Disable 8100. Have you built up this tranny or stock with a torque converter? If built ask about the MAX Line pressure valve body mods and set for that pressure. Usually even if modified leaving it stock settings is fine because it is physically modified.
General>> General pressures need to be 290.1 (unless modded) and the same for MAX line pressure, Max Pressure, B, and Clutch. Shift pressures upshift in the Patterns add 36psi in the 332ft-lb and 43psi to 443 ft-lb updating each gear table. It is a truck and doesn't use pattern Y or Z but may update those for thoroughness.
Adjust the TCC apply above the 75% throttle to lock up for WOT in 3-6th. You have the torque converter unlocked 318mph in all but 6th? Make sure your lock tables work with your upshift and downshift table speeds.
The Gen V should not have the Engine Max torque> Peak torque maxed out. This is not the limiter anymore (Gen3,4) it is the target and when it's not met it can freak out ECU. Go back to stock and add 30%. Set the Dynamic high rpm MAF re-enable/ disable back to stock.
Need to set PE > Delay to 0 or lower rpm than 5000. Enable torque to 30% , Enable pedal to 60%.
    Hope this helps.
Oh, get the PCS 1-5 CMD pressures into Channels.

I have the OS# 24270599 in my 2014 C7 w/ 6L80. Circle D converter will not completely lock no matter we try. Can I use that attached transmission tune in the other thread to overwrite my TCM OS???

To my knowledge, these three are interchangeable with a full write/cal write : 24264497,24267577,24270599 However, you have x599 already, x577 seems to have the same issue, and x497 has not yet been found (by me) to test. We maybe in the same boat...

We need a fix for this issue, customer has 2015 silverado with 24270599 TCM OS and the converter will not lock solid and it slips under any load. 5months in the making and the coverter will more than likely need a rebuild from this. HELP Hptuners!

bump, my customer is now about to grenade his circle d 3200 stall. Is it possible to change the TCM
from another trans to a different OS?
