Pro interface will not Log

I have a pro Interface, I bought the upgrade specifically so I could have the external channels logging, and so I could Log without laptop attached.

Car is an 06 CTS-V LS2 E67. I can not for the life of me get the standalone logging to work.

I've gone through all of this (from the howto) multiple times, with multiple different parameters logged, I've tried everything i can think of, including ONLY logging RPM.

"To setup the standalone datalogging feature for the first time on a new vehicle or when switching from another vehicle follow the steps below or watch our Standalone Datalogging Demo:
Key your vehicle into the run position.
Connect your interface to your vehicle's obd2 port and to your laptop's usb port.
Open VCM Suite Scanner and open your Table(Primary) Display.
Click the connect icon.
Add or delete any PID's you want.
Save your config for later use(optional).
Click Scan-MPVI Pro Data Logging.
Click Write Config-Yes.
Unplug the USB connector from your laptop.
Start vehicle if not already running.
Press and Hold the Record button for ~2 seconds to start recording.
Press and Hold the Stop button for ~2 seconds when your finished to stop recording."


Every single time i press and hold the record button, it'll start flashing red. and not log a thing.

has anyone else had these issues? how can i get them solved (especially without having to be without my interface for an indeterminate amount of time)

email support with the .hpt file from the vehicle, infolog while connected to the vehicle and your channels config file and we can test the settings on our bench harness to make sure its not a software issue on our end.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but was this ever solved? I'm a new pro purchase, but I'm trying to do the standalone log with my 07 CTS-V with LS2 and I get the same error light.

I have opened a ticket (#94386)and provided all the logs. I'm now just waiting on a response. Since our cars are same engine/model but different year, I wonder if it's the same thing and the fix wasn't applied to the 07 year?

Hi guys,

I am also having this same exact issue with my 2006 CTS V. My computer also randomly has started not connecting to the MVPI and won't start a log.

It will however clear fault codes, so some connectivity is present.

It will start to data log, then quit and flash ERR after about 1-2 min when in standalone mode. No files are saved.

E92 supported? I wrote config file to it hit record and when I got back from drive it was empty.

But I still cannot stand alone data log. Is the E67 ECM supported for this feature? 2006 CTS V with LS2.

i just tried this feature today and i'm missing alot of data in the scanner even though i have the correct channels. 2014 cts-v E67
