    Mapped Poits and Distace Tables

I working on Tuning a Ford Racing Control Pack for a 2.0L GDI motor.

and I'm truing to understand the various map points and distance tables.

the motor is in a race car and will only be driven on the race track and pretty much WOT all the time . what maps do i need, how does one figure out what maps are for different conditions?

I'm a novice to tuning I have only been using the program for a few weeks and this is my first attempt at tuning.

Mapped point configuration will tell you what mapped points are enabled. Also make sure you log all map point weights when logging the vehicle. So you can see were the spark is coming from

I have looked for the channels for the mapped point in the VCM Scanner but have not found them does the Scanner need to be hooked to the ECU for them to show up in the channels?

Disabled the Maps you don't want to use and make sure none of those maps are being used for fuel economy, best drive ability, etc etc, then check distance tables and make sure those are only pointing to maps you have enabled.

If it's a 100% race car you can leave map 0 and 1(mostly idle) and OP enabled.

3 map points should be enought 0 and 1 and op for wot like jn2 said. You can disable the rest in map point configuration

ok I can't read the mapped points in the scanner in my car, I did a test and couldn't find them. I figured they would be under the VCT but I don't have an option for VCT on my car however I do have VCT setting in the editor.

I hooked up to the Coyote control pack car we have and I was able to read them.

I'm guessing I need to make a service request?
