    corrupt tuning file?

I have tuned a number of 2015-17 F150 5.0L's and all have been fine, but one came back to me last week with lean codes and high trim numbers, rough idle for first 5-10 seconds of running, etc. I re-flashed with the stock tune and verified that engine runs fine with the stock tune.

I reloaded the HP tune and again it was running lean like before.

I created a completely new tune file exactly like the one that was giving me issues and everything appears to be fine.

This is the only vehicle I have had problems with and they are tuned exactly the same way.

Is it possible something was corrupted in the first tune file? Anyone encounter this scenario before?

    thanks

    Ron

Make sure you are using write entire and not write cal.

A bunch of Ecoboost guys are running into weird problems on the same year model trucks if they use write cal (I think some Ecoboost mustangs as well).

Thank you for your reply, I will keep an eye on that in the future.

Have you tried the new VCM 3.6? wondering if you get the same problems?
