2017 ATS-V Tuning and Throttle closing question

Has anyone found the "offical" fix for the throttle body blade closing? I'm only getting about 56% out of it, at wot.

I'm also having some issues with "OVER" Boosting my target, Tables i need to look at? What is the "proper" way on these to control boost as far as settings go?

Here's the current tune on the veh, Drives and responds well, Just having some small issues.

Calling it a night - Current tune attached, 12-13ish psi, no KR, afr around 12.2's.. pulls great, but having a hard time still with throttle as well as upping the boost, kindof new to the v6 tables, and just trying to learn whats needing adjustment and whats not.Sams2017ATSV - DDTECH.hpt

IS anyone adjusting "Engine torque modeling" and "airmass" tables like we would with the Gen 4 stuff?

Got the throttle to hang around 58-61% so far.
Holds a very steady 20psi, feels good, real good.. but still not where i want it..

Been making slight adjustments to torque tables and DD tables from stock, i'm still wondering about which table controls what..

Also if you don't have the latest beta, request it then download it from your customer page. You will need this for the torque modelling adjustments i'm gonna have you do

Set the Pressure ratio limits under the throttle body tab to 1.0 and try again.

I wanted to update this thread so others, will have something to go upon.
As most know i've mention i'm new to the GEN5 and DI stuff, but i've been spending the last few weeks testing, non-stop. I wanted to share what i've found. 1) I've found the correct way to hold the throttle blade open 100% without " hacking" the eq ratio or torque co's which will cause a significant trans life drop, but also found these cars work well, even stock.

The tune is setup for pump 93, 17/18psi. I original had the car at 20psi but felt it would be pushing. This is my wife's car, and she's coming from a 10.8 CTSV Wagon and she wanted alittle more uff until we decided what she wanted to do.
    Attached is the CURRENT tune.

AFR is 11.8 -12.0s across the board, Shifts never miss a beat, PSI is 17/18psi, it will hold 18 and never drop after 3rd gear. NO KR. I was able to hold the throttle 100% throughout the entire rpm band by setting the driver demand tables and properly setting the torque output tables. I hear most tuners are dropping the EQ Ratio and airmass tables which will cause the trans to eventually slip. I feel on a tire, this is a good 11.5s car tune only.. it pulls really strong.

Awesome work! Just bought an ATS-V and was curious what kind of results people were getting with these cars!
    Cheers!

Playing with a new camaro and used to seeing the older driver demand tables so what is the proper way for the ones like this rpm based? I have seen some guys with 800 hp new corvettes say they don't touch it with no issues. I saw boost over shoot originally on your log you sent me so was wondering if the driver demand fixed it. The camaro 2.0t is over shooting at first and why I ask.
Also out of all the boost pid we have which is the accurate one? Seems they all differ even if take baro out and go to gauge pressure on the ones that show higher. Was wondering if anyone knew why so many and which is correct or actually a gauge boost reading. Thanks

The tune you posted seems rich for a DI/boosted motor. The stock commanded AFR for PE mode is 13.36 (which obviously to most people would see as extremely lean for a boosted application) but due to DI atomization, much leaner commanded PE AFRs can be used. This should also provide some insurance against fuel rail pressure drop that tends to happen right around 19-20 psi on these cars. On the turbo cobalts (which were DI) tuners found that the cars made the most torque and horsepower using a commanded AFR of 12.7-12.8 and about 24 psi of boost. Personally I would try switching the power enrich EQ ratio vs. RPM table values to 1.17 (12.6 commanded AFR). I am willing to bet that the car will make more power at this value.

is that why the stock value for pe is so weird on this application? Been doing my vsport and similar motor and while stock tune wasnt so out of the norm it was not like say an ats 2.0t which was my prior car I was tuning before I got my cts vsport. I read up a lot on the cobalts before doing the ats 2.0t and helped but more this evolves the crazier the stock values beome. Here is one of my current tunes from my vsport which also was fighting throttle issues.
If care to look and see what you think. I have yet to get a wideband on it so just going off lazy narrow band for ball park reading better then nothing till I get my wideband on it at least for a weekend.

    vsport tune 4-2 more boost.hpt

FWIW the WIDEBAND is showing 12.0-12.2 AFR , i leaned it up a bit more.. Thats where it seemed to like it and i'll be tracking it to compare MPH vs Leaner / richer.

Most DI Tuners shoot these cars in the 12's, Again this is one of my first stabs at the V6 stuff so, since its a 80k brand new car i'm testing on and my wife drives it everyday, i wanted to play it safe and turn it up when i have a solid testing day.

This is really great information. Appreciate you posting this. I can open the stock file and one of your others above, but am unable to open the one labeled 'SAM - ATSV - 18psi - DDTECH.hpt'. The error message I'm seeing is 'Unable to open file. Incorrect file header.'

Edit: Redownloaded and it works fine. Thinking the original file I downloaded may have been corrupt.

Would this be a safe baseline for an xts vsport?

At any rate, thanks for sharing...not alot of info around for the ttv6's.

Internals for the LF3 are not the same as the LF4 so be careful when you turn it up.
