    WBO2 readings not constant

I've just installed my LM1 unit, configured the programmer to 0.1V-5V 10-20AFR, saved the configuration onto the programmer....

I installed the WBO2 again, I'm getting a reading in my scanner but there's a couple of problems.

1st: My scanner is reading 4 degress of AFR above what the LM1 programmer is reading, don't knw why this is...

2nd: I am not getting a constant reading of the AFR. At idle it goes from 15.4AFR to 14.2AFR in the scanner... when i press on the gas a little, it goes up to around 18.5AFR then down to 13AFR...

Could there be something wrong with my LM1?? Or could this be a configuration/wiring problem???

I've wired the white cable in the A/D 1 and the shield cable into slot no.5...Now from reading over the forums, this looks like it should be correct.. am I wrong??

Well, it's moving (good) and it seems to be swinging
through the 14.7 pivot (good). Presuming you have
the scanner expecting the same transfer function and
you did the free-air cal recently, the LM-1 ought to
be putting out reasonable data. Look at a WOT pull,
unit display vs table display in the scanner, for some
    kind of agreement.

The LM-1 samples 12/sec and applies its own smoothing
to the analog outputs, so you can't expect any sort of
agreement in closed loop; the filtered output will be out
    of step with the display.

Wide open there is no messing-around of mixture and
the fueling / airflow should change slowly enough that
the display and the scanner numbers agree. But there
are people who have grounding issues and see an offset
    introduced, from that.

If you turn off closed loop (raise closed loop enable
temp?) then your idle will be a steady mixture that
you should see agreement from, as another match-
    point.

As to the lean-then-rich, do your narrowbands
also show a hard dip prior to rolling on enrichment?
Do you have any silly PE mode delay / rate stuff
dogging you like many of the V8 trucks?

yeah, but I have my PE mode set at 1,700rpm....I did the free-air calibration while the WBO2 was sitting in the exhaust pipe without the engine on, I had no idea where the instruction sheet was at the time till i finally calmed down after getting the WBO2 and looked in the PDF files....

Here's a log run with my WBO2 installed...I have a lot of Knock, but I think this is due to the temperature out here in the Gulf at the moment, my IAT is reading 190*F!!! and its always in the red, kinda pissing me off as well coz my fan is always switched on.

With regard to the close loop and open loop, the editor for the I-6 has no options to change anything....I hope you could actually get something out of the log

Ok there is some type of agreement, when i go to WOT, it goes from the bouncing 14.4-15.0AFR down to a 13.2-13.8AFR... so i know its readin something...

I've just done that, and I'll check it out tonight and see if there is any improvement...

U were also saying that the LM1 applies its own smoothing, do u think there's any chance that I could smooth it out manually and get a very smooth constant curve??

first off Log commanded afr & use the status bits to log PE & COT.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

hey, well i finally sorted the LM1 out... what i did was to congifure it to read 1/3secs... i get a much steadier line now, jumps about 0.3AFR and it doesn't jump at the speed it was before... time to start tuning PE proper

For the status bit table to work, you need to have an active connection to the vehicle but not in scan mode.
