Was the Whipple a 2015+ and the Roush an 11-14? 15+ already supported Write Calibration mode.

Well, that's probably why I didn't notice any difference on the whipple - it was a 15' and the roush as you know a 14 Curious now - other than a more complex OS - why do the 15 and newers take longer?

Aftermarket supercharger calibrations do not and will not have a calibration flash option unfortunately.

Well, the Roush did - guess it was just a fortunate mishap then Didn't screw anything up using the cal flash option did I? Need to do write entires on all of these?

    Thank You

You can do a cal write on all the Copperheads, even the Roush files. The 2015+ aftermarket cals require full write.

Flashed a 2014 last night. Made sure p0605 was disabled. Now it's lighting up stability and advance trac lights, PATS light is on, key does nothing. Scanner will not connect to vehicle.

Did a full rewrite, and a calibration flash to no avail. Car is not responding.

    Hello All,
New to tuning and recently did a write calibration to a copperhead ECU without first disabling P0605. What needs to be done now to turn off this CEL? Will I need to Write Entire with the new tune file and P0605 disabled?

Disable it and reflash the file.

Disable and do the write cal again. I wouldn't ever do a write entire unless changing the strategy.
Knock Retard is the reduction or prevention of knock by lowering ignition timing:

(+) Adding Knock Retard = Reducing Timing. PCM is seeing knock.
(--) Lowering Knock Retard = Increasing Timing. PCM isn't seeing knock.

Thank you both for the replies. I've attempted to write calibration with the P0605 DTC disabled as stated, with no immediate avail. As this is a "permanent" code(apologies if I failed to mention this), will it eventually go away after driving the vehicle? Has anyone been successful at erasing this permanent code by performing a "write entire"?

    Also,
What is meant by "changing strategy", specifically?

I think if this code was active, it would cause a no start. Does your car start and run? You may need to put some miles on it and the code will clear itself.

The strategy is the Operating System. Similar to going from windows 7 to windows 8 or to Linux. It's like a new foundation, and there may only be minor changes in different strategies, a couple of tables may be different or have more or less tables from one strategy to another.

I too only use write calibration and write entire for changing strategies. I have a 2012 with a stock strategy and a 2014 strategy. I run the 14 strategy and use write calibration only flashing adjustments.
